Why is purchasing a number needed?

To buy a new number is Twilio and to use as your Voice AI dedicated number. You can forward calls to this newly purchased Twilio number when you want to invoke Voice AI.

This article will guide you through configuring your Twilio phone number in order to trunk calls to Myma's Voice AI infrastrcuture.

In short, Twilio provides the secure phone number that makes seamless business communication possible and Myma’s AI platform enables Voice AI on that number.

Before getting started, you’ll need to create a Twilio account for your business. Click the link below to begin the setup process:

After signing in you'll see a couple of questions. One of the questions it will ask how you will be using the platform. Select 3rd party integration.

Step 1: Create Elastic SIP Trunk

Clients must also create a Twilio Elastic SIP Trunk to manage call routing.

Configuration involves:

  • Enabling Secure Call Transfer (PSTN)

  • Setting caller ID to transferee

  • Adding the Myma SIP endpoint

  • Creating a Credential List with Myma-provided username and password

Once saved, calls made to that number will automatically be routed through the Myma platform. After creating your account, you’ll need to set up a bundle and add your business address before purchasing a phone number.

Look at the left side of the page and scroll down until you See Voice. Click Voice and then scroll down and select Elastic SIP Trunking.

Then select Get Started and under Trunks, select the + button. Essentially you are creating a Myma trunk so that the class can be passed to our dashboard where the AI will then help guests.

Select Create a SIP and choose a name for your SIP Trunk, we recommend Myma Trunk.

Under General Settings:

  • Disable Call Recording

  • Enable Call Transfer

  • Enable PSTN Transfer

  • Set Caller ID as Transferee

Under Termination:

  • Type Myma as the SIP URL

  • Set up your Credential List

    • We will give you a username and password so we aer aded on the credential list

  • Under calls per second, set all of them to 1

Under Origination:

  • Put sip.myma.sip.jambonz.cloud as the Origination URL

Under Numbers:

  • You don't have to do anything here!

Next you will need to add and address and create a bundle.

Step 2: Create Regulatory Bundle & Address

Before purchasing a number, clients must create:

  • A Registered Address associated with the phone number.

  • A Regulatory Bundle, containing their business details.

To add a Registered Address, under the Phone tab select Regulatory Compliance and then go under Addresses and create a new address.

Next, to create a bundle go back into the regulatory compliance and select bundles to go through the creation process.

  1. Select a Country and the Type of Phone Number

  2. Identify Type:

    1. Select Direct Customer and Business Calls

  3. Then fill out information about your business

  4. Then select your business address

  5. Then fill out your Authorized Representative

  6. Fill out Final Details

Now your bundle is created!

Note: Before purchasing a phone number, Twillio must approve the bundle!

Step 3: Purchase a Phone Number

Go to the left and select Phone Numbers and then Buy a Number.

Type in the country criteria and search for a number you'd like to use.

Then select Buy Number. and then select configure.

Make sure you associate the chosen number with the approved Regulatory Bundle and Address. After this number will then appear under Active Numbers.

Under Active Numbers, select the link embedded with your number, which will that you to the Configure screen.

Select Configuration with SIP Trunk, then choose Myma Trunk — and that’s it!

From there, the rest of the setup will be handled on our end.
