What happens after a Voice AI call ends? While sending guests an SMS with a link to your property's website or booking engine is helpful, it can be difficult to know whether they clicked the link or took any further action. Myma's SMS Templates and Landing Pages help bridge that gap.
Properties can send SMS messages during or after a Voice AI call, personalize them using details collected throughout the conversation, and include unique Landing Page links to track guest engagement. This provides greater visibility into what happens after the call, including whether guests interact with booking links, and allows properties to automate follow-up messages based on those interactions. Together, these features help properties stay connected with guests, capture potential booking opportunities, and turn more conversations into direct bookings.
It's important to note that these features can be used independently or together, depending on your property's needs. You can send a simple SMS with a link or message, use an SMS template with dynamic placeholders to personalize the content, or take it a step further by incorporating a Landing Page to track guest engagement. This article walks through each option and shows how they can work together to create a more personalized and connected guest experience.
1. Creating an SMS Template
To create a new SMS template, navigate to:
Settings → Agent Assist → SMS
Here, you can view, edit, and manage existing SMS templates or create a new one.
Click Add to create a new SMS template.
Enter a Template Name to identify the message.
Set the Channel to SMS.
The Template ID is generated automatically.
Select the appropriate Language.
Under Category, select Contacts for Voice AI templates.
Enter the message you would like guests to receive.
Click Save.
Adding Dynamic Placeholders
SMS templates support dynamic placeholders, allowing Voice AI to personalize messages using information collected during the phone conversation.
For example, if a guest calls to enquire about room availability, you could create the following message:
"Thank you for your interest in Luxe Hotel! For your requested dates, rooms are available starting at USD {{nightly_rate}} per night, including taxes and fees."
In this example, {{nightly_rate}} is a dynamic placeholder that automatically populates with the relevant nightly rate from the conversation.
To add a placeholder, enter the parameter name within double curly brackets:
{{placeholder_name}}
Once added, the placeholder appears as a field beneath the message editor. You can then map it to the appropriate value, allowing Voice AI to identify which information to extract from the conversation.
Common placeholders include:
Guest name
Check-in date
Check-out date
Nightly room rate
Other relevant information collected during the call
By using placeholders, each SMS message can be personalized without needing to create a separate template for every guest.
2. Adding an SMS Template to a Voice AI Conversation Flow
Once your SMS template has been created, it must be connected to your Voice AI Conversation Flow.
Navigate to:
Workflows → Conversation Flows
Open your active Voice AI Conversation Flow.
Click Browse Library to access the available pre-built blocks.
Scroll down and locate the following blocks:
Send Template SMS
Check Template SMS Placeholders
Add both blocks to your Voice AI Conversation Flow.
These two blocks work together to send personalized SMS messages using information gathered during the call.
Configuring Send Template SMS
The Send Template SMS block identifies which SMS template Voice AI should use.
Return to Settings → Agent Assist → SMS.
Locate the SMS template you created.
Copy its automatically generated Template ID.
Return to your active Voice AI Conversation Flow.
Edit the Send Template SMS block.
Paste the Template ID into the block's instructions.
This connects your Conversation Flow to the selected SMS template.
Configuring Check Template SMS Placeholders
The Check Template SMS Placeholders block identifies the dynamic information collected during the conversation and populates the corresponding placeholders in your SMS template. You do not need to modify the default instructions for this block.
Simply ensure that both pre-built blocks are included in your Conversation Flow and that the correct Template ID has been entered in Send Template SMS.
Once everything is configured, click Save Flow.
Your SMS template is now connected to Voice AI and is ready to send personalized messages when triggered during a conversation.
3. What Are Landing Pages?
SMS Templates allow Voice AI to send personalized messages and links to guests. However, when an SMS contains a direct link to an external website, it can be difficult to track how guests interact with that information after the call.
Landing Pages solve this by creating a personalized, trackable page between the SMS message and the guest's final destination, such as a property's booking engine.
For example, a guest may call to ask about room availability and receive an SMS containing a personalized landing page link.
When the guest opens the link, they are directed to a page displaying relevant information from their conversation, such as:
Requested check-in and check-out dates
Room information
Quoted nightly rate
A Complete Booking button directing them to the booking engine
This allows properties to track guest engagement beyond the initial Voice AI conversation.
Benefits of Landing Pages
Track Guest Engagement
See how guests interact with their personalized landing pages, including whether they open the page and select available actions.
Identify Booking Opportunities
Track interactions with calls to action, such as Complete Booking, to better understand which guests are continuing their booking journey.
Automate Follow-Up Communication
Use landing page engagement data to trigger follow-up messages based on guest actions.
For example, if a guest receives a booking landing page but does not select Complete Booking, an automated follow-up SMS can be triggered after a specified period, such as 24 hours.
Encourage Direct Bookings
By combining personalized information, clear calls to action, and automated follow-ups, Landing Pages help properties re-engage interested guests and encourage direct bookings.
4. Creating a Landing Page
Landing Pages are created and managed within the dashboard.
Navigate to:
Settings → Agent Assist → Landing Pages
To create a new Landing Page, click Add.
The setup includes the following components:
Landing Page Name: Enter a name to identify the landing page.
HTML Template: Add the HTML that defines the page's layout, appearance, and content.
Dynamic Parameters: Configure the information that will be populated using details collected during the Voice AI conversation.
Link Expiration: Set how long the personalized landing page link remains active.
Note: Landing Page setup involves some technical configuration. The Myma.ai team handles the creation and configuration of Landing Pages, including their design, dynamic parameters, and expiration settings.
If you'd like to incorporate a Landing Page into your SMS templates, please contact the Myma.ai team for assistance.
5. Connecting a Landing Page to an SMS Template
Once your Landing Page has been created, the next step is to associate it with your SMS template.
Navigate to:
Settings → Agent Assist → SMS
Locate the SMS template you want to update and click Edit.
Within the message editor, add the following placeholder where you would like the personalized landing page link to appear:
{{landing_page}}Once entered, the placeholder will appear as a field beneath the message editor.
Map the
{{landing_page}}placeholder to Landing Page using the corresponding dropdown.A new Landing Page dropdown will appear.
Select the Landing Page you would like to associate with the SMS template.
Click Save to update your template.
Your SMS template is now connected to the selected Landing Page.
When Voice AI sends the template, the {{landing_page}} placeholder is automatically replaced with a unique, personalized landing page link generated for that guest's conversation.
Important: If you've already added the Send Template SMS and Check Template SMS Placeholdersblocks to your Voice AI Conversation Flow, no additional blocks are required to include the Landing Page.
The Landing Page is automatically incorporated through the SMS template configuration.
6. Personalized Landing Page Links and Expiration
Each Landing Page link generated by Voice AI is unique to the guest and their conversation.
This allows the page to display personalized information, such as requested dates, room details, and quoted rates.
Because rates and availability can change, Landing Pages also support link expiration settings.
For example, a personalized booking page can be configured to expire after a specified period, ensuring guests are not presented with outdated offers or booking information.
Expiration settings are configured during Landing Page setup.
This helps properties maintain accurate information while creating a more personalized and reliable booking experience.
7. Tracking Engagement and Automating Follow-Ups
One of the key benefits of Landing Pages is the ability to track guest interactions after a Voice AI call.
Rather than simply sending an SMS and having limited visibility into the guest's next steps, Landing Pages allow properties to understand how guests engage with the information provided.
For example, consider the following guest journey:
A guest calls Voice AI to enquire about room availability.
Voice AI collects the guest's requested dates and provides available room information.
Following the conversation, Voice AI sends a personalized SMS containing a unique Landing Page link.
The guest opens the Landing Page and reviews the booking information.
The guest can select Complete Booking to continue to the property's booking engine.
If the guest does not select Complete Booking, an automated follow-up can be triggered after a configured period.
This allows properties to continue engaging guests beyond the phone call and follow up based on their interactions.
For example, a follow-up SMS could say:
"Hi {{first_name}}, thank you for your interest in Luxe Hotel! Just checking in to see if you need any assistance completing your reservation. We'd be happy to help!"
This creates a more personalized follow-up experience while helping properties identify and pursue potential booking opportunities.
Automated follow-ups are configured according to the property's messaging preferences and applicable guest consent requirements.
8. Are Landing Pages Required?
No. Landing Pages are completely optional.
SMS Templates can be used independently to send personalized information, website links, or booking links following a Voice AI conversation.
For example, a property may simply want to send guests:
A link to the property's website
A restaurant reservation link
A Digital Compendium link
Room availability or pricing information
Other helpful information discussed during the call
In these situations, an SMS template may be all that is needed.
Landing Pages are useful when properties want to take guest communication a step further by tracking engagement, personalizing the post-call experience, and automating follow-up communication.
