Overview

Web Widget Menus allow you to organize and present key information within your chatbot, making it easier for guests to find what they need. Each menu option directs guests to information and action focused on a specific topic, where they can either start a chat, view more information, or be redirected to another page.

Web Widget Menus are not appcable to all themes. For themes that include Web Widget Menus, the website chatbot can provide an even more interactive and informative experience.

For example, if you have a Dining Web Widget Menu, clicking on it might display a button such as Reserve a Table, allowing guests to make a booking or explore your dining options instantly.

Accessing Web Widget Menus

To access your Web Widget Menus, go to:
Knowledge Hub → Web Widget Menus (toward the bottom of the page).

Creating a New Menu

You can create a new menu in two ways:

  • Add Menu: Click Add Menu at the top to create one from scratch.

  • Import from Templates: Choose from Myma’s prebuilt menu templates designed for common hospitality services (e.g., dining, spa, activities, etc.).

When you create or edit a menu, a panel will appear on the right side of your screen where you can adjust various settings and details.

Menu Settings Explained

Title

The text that appears on the chatbot menu.
Example: “Dining,” “Spa & Wellness,” “Local Attractions.”

Type

Choose what you’d like to display on this menu. This is a key setting that determines which options appear next.

Available types:

  • Information Only: Displays information only, with no buttons or links.

  • Information & Action: Displays information and includes an action button. The button can link to an external booking page, open a menu page, or bring up a form for users to submit.

  • Action Only: Directly executes the action on click of the menu item, without showing any information. The action can open an external link, form, or start a specific conversation flow.

  • Open Rooms: Displays room descriptions and available room types.

  • Open Products: Displays products and services.

  • Open Chatbot: Automatically directs the user back to the chatbot to ask questions about that specific topic.

Once you select a Type, the available fields will adjust based on your choice. For instance, if you select Action Only, a description box will not appear.

Some menu types also support embedded iframes, which display an external webpage or HTML element directly within the current chatbot window.

Status

Choose whether the menu is currently visible to guests.

  • Active: Visible on the chatbot.

  • Inactive: Hidden from view but not deleted.

  • Archived: Saved for reference but not in active use.

Categories

Categories help you organize your menus into logical groups. For example:

  • New Reservations & Enquiries

  • Existing Reservations

  • Checked-Out Guests

To view or edit categories:

  1. Click Edit Category.

  2. Select or add a category name.

  3. Change the order of menus within each category.

To add a new category:

  • Type the new name in the Title box, click Save, and then select it from the dropdown under Categories.

Category Layout Options

You can choose how your menu items display within a category.

Available Layouts:

  • List: Customize each content item’s icon and color.

  • Square Thumbnail: Display a square image for each item.

  • Rounded Thumbnail: Display a rounded image for each item.

  • Circle Thumbnail: Display a circular image for each item.

  • Show Cards on Main Page: Each item appears as a card with an image, title, text, and button.

  • Show Cards on Click: Displays one large category card; when clicked, it expands to show individual items.

  • Show Collection on Main Page: Displays all items in a collection view.

  • Show Collection on Click: Shows a category card that expands when clicked to display related items.

Additional Customizations

You can enhance each menu’s appearance to match your property’s branding:

  • Image: Upload a main image for the menu.

  • Icon: Choose from Myma’s icon library or upload your own.

  • Icon Background Color: Customize the icon’s background.

  • Icon Color: Choose the icon’s main color.

Saving and Publishing

Once you’ve finished setting up your menu:

  1. Click Save to confirm your changes.

  2. Click the Publish AI button to make your new Web Widget Menu live on the chatbot.
