Static Conversation Flows

With Myma.ai’s AI solutions, you can choose between Dynamic and Static Conversation Flows, depending on the type of experience you want to create.

Dynamic Conversation Flows provide the AI with a structured guide for how a conversation should progress, while still allowing responses to be generated dynamically based on the user’s questions and needs. This creates a more natural, flexible, and conversational experience.

Static Conversation Flows, on the other hand, allow you to build structured journeys using clickable options. Users can select from predefined choices and follow different paths based on their selections. These flows can ultimately direct users to specific actions or content, including:

  • Open a Form

  • Show Rooms

  • Show Product Categories

  • Show Products

  • Show Properties

  • Start a Human Chat

Static flows are particularly useful when you want to guide users toward a specific outcome, while dynamic flows are ideal when you want the AI to have greater flexibility in how it responds and assists the user.

When Is It Useful to Use Static Conversation Flows?

Static Conversation Flows are most useful for specific, guided scenarios where you want to lead users through a series of predefined choices toward a particular outcome. Rather than requiring the user to know exactly what to ask, the chatbot can guide them step by step using clickable options.

For example, Polynesian Spa utilizes two Static Conversation Flows:

  • Find Your Perfect Pool: Guides users through a series of questions and selections to help identify the pool experience that best matches their preferences.

  • Find Your Perfect Spa Treatment: Helps users explore treatment options based on their individual needs and preferences, ultimately directing them toward the most suitable spa treatment.

Static Conversation Flows are particularly valuable for product discovery, personalized recommendations, guided decision making, and situations where users may need help navigating multiple options. They can simplify complex choices by asking users a series of questions and guiding them toward the most relevant result.

Some ideal use cases include:

  • Group or Multi Property Websites: Help users filter through multiple properties based on factors such as destination, accommodation type, amenities, or preferences to find the property that best suits their needs.

  • Condo and Vacation Rental Portfolios: Guide users through a large selection of condos, units, or vacation rentals and narrow down the options based on their specific requirements.

  • Services and Experiences: Help users navigate different services, treatments, activities, packages, or experiences and identify the option that best matches what they are looking for.

  • Products and Packages: Guide users through different product categories or packages and provide recommendations based on their selections.

The goal is to turn a large or potentially overwhelming set of choices into a simple, guided experience that helps users reach the right option more quickly.

How to Create a Static Conversation Flow

To create a Static Conversation Flow, navigate to Workflows and select the Conversations Flows tab. From there, click the black Create Flow button.

Select Messaging, then choose Static Conversation Flow as the flow type. Please note that Static Conversation Flows are only available with the Messaging solution.

Next, enter a title for your Conversation Flow and add a description explaining its purpose. Once complete, click Create Flow in the upper-right corner.

Building Your Conversation Flow

Once the flow has been created, the next step is to begin building the conversation by adding your first question. After creating the question and its response options, click the check icon and select the appropriate next step for each option.

Static Conversation Flows work by creating different paths based on the options a user selects. Each answer can direct the user to another question, another set of options, or a final outcome.

For example, consider a Find Your Perfect Spa Treatment flow:

  • Step 1: The user selects how many people the spa experience is for.

  • Step 2: If they select Two People, they are directed to the next question asking them to select their preferred time limit.

  • Step 3: Based on their selection, they may be asked additional questions about what they are looking for, such as relaxation, pain relief, or a romantic experience.

  • Final Step: The flow directs them to the spa treatment that best matches their selections.

Each possible answer and its corresponding next step must be configured to ensure users can successfully move through every possible path.

At the end of a Static Conversation Flow, you can also direct users to actions such as opening a form, viewing rooms, viewing product categories, viewing products, viewing properties, or starting a human chat.
